offers over 15 interfaces, selectable clock rates and
pass-through controls.
2245 DS3 Modem
The Model 2245 is a multi-featured DS3 fiber optic
modem that transmits standard DSX-3 (44.736 Mbps) signals
over single mode or multimode fiber optic cable. The 2245
DS3 fiber optic modem transports any B3ZS coded data stream
with either framed or unframed formats. It provides complete
diagnostic and fault isolation features when transporting
M13 or C-bit parity framed DSX-3 signals.
2262 T1/E1 Modem

Port EdgeAccess™ Switch - 100BASE-TX/FX Compliant Fast

To maximize the existing fiber plant, Canoga Perkins
offers Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer (CWDM) products
designed to cost-effectively increase channel counts from two to
four using the same fiber composite. Models 6002/3/4 are
widely-spaced WDM modules for two to four channels, respectively.

Optical
converter/transponder line interface module (TLIM) for use in a 6100
host module. The L60x TLIM is an unidirectional converter of
multimode to single mode, short reach to long reach optics, and/or
one wavelength to another. A standard converter may take a 1310nm
multimode input and convert it to a 1550nm single mode signal for
transmission over 100km. Wavelengths can be ordered to match those
required for the 6002/3/4 passive WDM modules. Speeds from 8Mbps to
1.25Gbps are accommodated. Clock recovery or bandwidth monitoring
options are available.

Canoga Perkins L650 Series / 6001 Fiber
Singlers
Fiber Singlers offer a cost-effective solution for
connecting two 1310nm devices over an individual single mode fiber.
This, in effect, doubles the available fiber currently in place or
fiber planned for future expansion. The L650 Series is an 8Mbps to
1.25Gbps protocol transparent transponder with an integral WDM
element, which combines the transmit and receive optical paths onto
a single fiber. A passive Fiber Singler 6001 can be used at the
remote end when the end equipment supports a loss budget adequate
for the attenuation link. Single and dual stage versions of the 6001
are available that provide cross-talk isolation values greater than
30dB.

Canoga Perkins OADM Drop and Continue or Drop
and Insert Multiplexer To maximize fiber
efficiency, Canoga Perkins introduces the passive OADM, Optical
Add/Drop Multiplexer, product line. Canoga Perkins offers two types
of OADMs: Drop and Continue or Drop and Insert. The passive OADM
module allows users to drop a specific optical wavelength at any
point in the application or insert another wavelength to the link.
This can be done on one pair of singlemode fiber instead of multiple
pairs.

Canoga Perkins WA-2
Model WA-2 is a
bi-directional two channel WDM. This passive device effectively
combines 1310nm and 1550nm (SMF only) or 850nm and 1310nm (MMF only)
wavelength data signals together over a composite fiber pair. It is

digital signals can transverse in parallel.

for customer premises installation, enterprise networks and military

System (UCS) Model 1002 is a managed 2U carrier-class

ensuring a robust and fault-tolerant platform. Up to 14 technology
modules can be housed in one UCS 1002. Up to eight UCS 1002’s can be
controlled by a single IP address.

module. An EIA 232 port provides terminal or modem access and an

Network operators can gain management information via Telnet,
SLIP/PPP, VT100 terminal access, or modem. Switches for connector
configuration, local and remote loopback and LEDs are located in the
